We are here in Honduras.
When 54 people are sharing 3 toilets, 2 showers, and sleeping in 1 big open cement room it teaches you a lot about what it looks like to live in community.
Yeah that means pooping next to boys, figuring out how to change under your sleeping bag, and trying not to scream when you see a scorpion crawling around your stuff.
It also means having grace when someone’s alarm goes off at 4:00 am. It means being thankful for a cold shower because some people don’t even get the privilege to have a shower that day. It means sharing what little you have to help someone else who has none at all. It means having true joy in the morning when it is your turn to clean the bathroom and wash the squads dishes. It means being an adult and checking for bugs when two of your team members get lice in their hair.
What if we cared for people more? What if we loved people more? What if we shared more? What if we had grace for others more?
