Right about here is when I thought you would be proud of me Mom.
There I was, in the rain, cleaning of spiderwebs and spider nests from the ceiling. The funny thing about gravity is that when you are cleaning something above you it tends to fall down on you. Yes, that means tiny spiders and debre were falling as we were sweeping the ceiling.
These are the Gaviones we are building. Casa de Sion is built on a hill and when there is tons of rain there is potential for mud slides and flooding. This rock wall, being built this specific way, should prevent that from happening. Let me tell you that I never expected that building this would take as long as it has. The rock placement is so precise! Filling and matching each rock like a puzzle, rock by precise little rock. Rotating, turning and readjusting each rock till it fits perfectly next to the other.
What I have been learning is that sometimes God lets things fall on us to make us stronger. By the end of cleaning that ceiling those little creepy crawlies weren’t freaking me out much at all. God also places us precisely were we need to be. He precisely places us with those we need to be around, those people that fit into our life to encourage us, build us up, make us stronger so when the rains come down we as a community can uplift one another. Sometimes we don’t understand the placement at first, we think there is no way this will work here, but with a couple of rotations things fit perfectly. Maybe you need to adjust a couple of things, but maybe God has placed you exactly where you need to be today.
Love, Ash
