Congratulations!
Today is your day.
You’re off to Great Places!
You’re off and away!
When I graduated high school more then a decade ago. SO WEIRD. My Grandma Sharryon gave me the book ‘OH, THE PLACES YOU’LL GO’ by Dr. Seuss. I didn’t pay much attention to it, I read it, thought it was cute but that was about it. She was always so encouraging and believed in my dreams, even when they seemed WAY OUT THERE. I think she believed so much in those dreams because she not only believed in the words of Dr. Seuss but she believed in what God could and would do in and through my life. She believed that we should love God so much that we partner our lives to what He is doing for His kingdom. No matter how big or how small. No matter if it was close or far, God had great places for our lives if we intimately walked with Him.
As I take the step towards the places that God is moving my life into I am learning to walk closer to Him. It is so exciting to know that in just a few short months my life will change drastically. That I will go from living in one place for most of my life to living in dynamic places, doing dynamic things and sharing stories with people who are dynamic. I will have the opportunity to partner with what God is doing while joining an amazing team on The World Race.
The World Race is an 11 month mission trip to 11 countries around the world. The countries that my team will be going to are Swaziland, Botswana, South Africa, Estonia, Latvia, Thailand, Cambodia, India, Nepal, Guatemala and Nicaragua. Through the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restorative hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.
OH, THE PLACES YOU WILL GO!
But it’s the walking with God to those places that I am excited about. The cliche “IT’S NOT ABOUT THE DESTINATION- BUT IT’S ABOUT THE JOURNEY.” However, that’s exactly it, the journey hand in hand with God to see the greatness that He is going to accomplish. I am so excited to walk to new places physically but equally excited to walk to new places with Jesus.
