Thirty plus hours traveling from Atlanta, Georgia to Santiago, Chile was so tiring yet so worth it! I’m exited to say that we made it and have been settling down into our stay here in Chile. My team and I are staying at a home for girls who are too old to be at an orphanage but need somewhere to stay while going to school. During the week we are working with kids with special needs, mostly assisting teachers with whatever they need.
It has been hard but extremely rewarding to know that we can come here and help mostly by giving kids love who might not be getting it from their home life. I have struggled a bit with coming to terms that I can only do so much and I can’t completely change their lives. Yet I’m making sure to make everyday count to the best of my ability and to not let that effect me during my time with them. More updates are coming soon but here’s a view of what my travel day was like! Thank you for all the support this far and I’m so happy you’re choosing to be apart of this!
