It’s been awhile since I’ve updated you all!
After Peru we hopped on a forty hour bus ride and headed to Quito,Ecuador. My team and I saw God work in such incredible ways in a matter of a week and a half. We looked into getting an Airbnb but it was way over budget. One of my teammates went ahead and contacted the host and asked if their was anyway she could lower the price so that if fit into our budget.
Luckily the host agreed and we were able to stay in an incredible house with nine bedrooms and seven bathrooms. For those of you who don’t know we’ve been staying in rooms that range from three-fourteen beds! So getting the opportunity to sleep in a room with just one other person or even alone was so great. Once we told our host we were missionaries, traveling and looking for volunteer opportunities she was kind enough to set us up with a school.
We visited a Christian elementary- high school for four days and it was such an incredible experience. The teachers were extremely passionate about their jobs and the kids were so much fun to be around. We were broken up into different classes and I was able to be an assistant teacher to the kindergarteners and first grade. The school was bilingual and the teacher and I went into both classes to teach english and play games. My experience at the school was one I will never forget!
I hope you continue to follow along as my squad and I are in Columbia. The support I have been shown amazes me everyday and I am so thankful for you all. My next deadline is November 30th and I have to be fully funded. Please consider donating or talking to friends and family that you know who would want to be apart of this amazing season of life God has in store for me!
