We are currently in Antigua as you might already know, serving as a transition point, as we
are supposed to be traveling through Honduras to get to Nicaragua and
with all that has been happening over there with the president being
ousted, we’ve had a little longer transition here in Antigua. We will
begin our journey to Nicaragua tomorrow morning.
We are traveling by road, going through El Salvador and Honduras. The bus line we’ll be using continues to make trips through Honduras with no problems, so there are no worries, we are good, even as we still continue to monitor all thats happening. We will definitely appreciate your continued prayers. For our new ministry, my team will be serving along side team Fuego, one of the other teams within our squad for the rest of the month in Nicaragua. I am excited about that and looking forward to being able to work with their team. We are headed to Leon, Nicaragua.
Leon seems to be an amazing place, but even more exciting is the ministry we will be working with. NewSong Missions is hosting us for the next few weeks where we will partner with them and help serve the community.
NewSong is a ministry that is geared towards the underprevledged youth of the areas around, Kingdom focused and encourages the idea of a healthy community. You can read more about them by clicking on their name or
here.
On the other hand, Antigua has been amazing, we are joined by another squad, this larger team are just about getting done with their 11 month trip. They are about to start their last two months of ministry in Central America, and its been pretty cool to have them around. It’s given us a chance to learn from some of their experiences and just have them available to share what the Lord has been doing over the past 9 months. The city is just a very colonial type constructed city with architectural ruins that speak of the rich history. We even got a chance to do some ministry in one of the local special needs hospital. It was great to be there and hard at the same time. I mean to see, help and interact with all these orphaned kids from babies to kids a little younger than a teenager with all types of physical, mental and emotional special needs was truly heart breaking especially when trying to speak truth and life over them but ’twas such a joy to be with them and just enjoy the simple things.
So yea, as we head out tomorrow, please continue to keep us in prayer. And for all those that have been supporting me in prayer and also financially, I am very grateful and your comments are also very encouraging, so please keep them coming. If you read the blog, I would love to hear from you, even if only to say WRITE MORE OFTEN!! haha. Really it’l be great to hear from you.
