Got a chance to hold a small fundraiser/outreach in Times Square in NYC. It was a pretty fun time and a total blessing as well. The point was to get a little more awareness of this mission I am about to embark on, hopefully and importantly raise some money while doing it from just the general public and lastly just get to share and talk to people about this God of mine that’s having me step out and show His goodness that He may draw others unto Himself.

The event was great, and I definitely consider it a success, even though I did not get to raise a lot of $$ at the scene…$15 was the total amount I believe. I know the Father has a little more in store for this small Times Sq mission than the $15 raised, and hopefully, if I’m lucky(He see’s fit), He’l reveal to me someday.

Well, like I said, it was a great time, I had 2 friends that stepped up, Traci and Chris, of course not knowing the awesomely ridiculous outfits I had planned for them to wear :-p …and with that, we took it to the streets of Times Square.

Below are pics detailing this mission and our experience…enjoy!

Gerda Liebmann was very instrumental in helping me make these boards, the paint, the colors and just
creative ideas and so, loads of thanks.

Traci, the ‘Stop sex trade gal in pink’ was  a total hit in Times Sq.

Chris, Traci and Moi in Times Square.

The gang in action. Below, Chris reaching out to one of many other fellow sign carriers in Times Square, exchanging ideas, even trading flyers. Yea, Chris is an out going one. And on the far side, Traci engaged in convo, discussing the particulars of her sign.

We did unfortunately have some small issues with the police, something about not having the right permits to have a donations box out there in Times Square. However, the officer that came out was really great, and patient. We even got to tell him about the mission and gave him a prayer card. So with permission, we stayed another hour and called it a wrap. A good blessed day all around.
