Today its about we brothers. In a story shared with me earlier that just broke my heart, I’m reminded of our responsibility as men, no less men of God, if U claim to know Christ. It is a huge amazing responsibility that is most often belittled within our culture and the representations of men we see around us.
We have a God given charge to fight, bringing an end to injustice in the life situations we come across. To love, giving of ourselves, a life that embodies sacrifice, not just taking or demanding. To lead with a compelling humility that presents itself as service and in itself gives Glory to God. To encourage, providing Godly wisdom, taking on the call to build up future generations in wise counsel, not just in words, but in the statements of our lives.
A big part of this of course are the girls, women and sisters out there, how we treat them and respond to them. It breaks my heart that a lot of us men, don’t understand our value and the important part we play in fighting injustice in the lives of many of the women out there.

We have not just an opportunity, but a duty to redefine and restore the true image of what it looks like to be a man. In our pursuit of friendships and relationships, we can give our women, sisters, mothers, daughters a fresh perspective. We can redefine their expectations on how they SHOULD be loved and cared for, not just how they COULD be.
A paradigm shift that happens where as men, our actions boast of a sacrificial life, with an undemanding love, that to our women, it becomes the norm, it becomes the expected. A comparison to Jesus’ death for us that creates a yardstick by which lives and future relationships are defined.
God has called us to bring His Kingdom here on earth, to fight injustice amongst others, and that’s not just human trafficking. There is injustice in the deceived portraits that we men have painted that many of our women have bought (for some, at a very high price) as the true identity of a man and what is to be expected.
First things first, you gotta know Christ, otherwise its a blind leading blind situation and we just fall right back in the ditch(that’s biblical as well as practical). Then lets sincerely begin to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to us areas we can begin to practice self sacrificial living. Start small if have to, it begins in the very small things, and He’ll begin to rebuild your character, renew your mind and you’ll receive that whole new rush of purpose and direction.
In your pursuit of friendships and relationships, evaluate your purpose and intentions, constantly refer back to the yardstick of Christ’s life and correct accordingly. I will be doing the same as well, cause I need to hear this too. This is what it means to be Christ on earth, to reflect His love and Glory.
I don’t want to forget the need for mentors. With wisdom and discernment, find Godly men that will teach, guide and encourage you, reflecting that fatherly and manly image as a practical example that you can emulate.
Guys, this is not a volunteer project, this is how we were created to live, there is purpose in this. This is our DUTY, our CHARGE, MAN UP!!! Pls! …and lets give our women something to really talk about.
If U want a little scripture, check out Eph 5:23-33. Ponder and dwell on it a bit.
