So we got to Nicaragua safely through two days of traveling, and two border control crossings, thank God. We are in a little rural town called Candelaria, where NewSong has setup their ministry. After packing ourselves, all twelve of us (team Abandon and Fuego) including our many packs, which are like individual little persons themselves, in 3 little taxis that seems to have been made to carry no more than three, we eventualy made it to the NewSong compound in the middle of a very very rural beautiful town, dirt unpaved roads and all.
So we’ve begun getting ourselves aclimated to our new home, its a pretty awesome place, with a big focus on the youth of the area. There are tons of relationships to be formed and even more people to just love on. There are a ton of bugs and little buzzing things just love my ears and eye lids and can’t seem to ever leave me alone. And yea, it is HOT!! I feel like i’m back in Nigeria, even though I think Nig can be worse. Anyway, its home right now, and I love it, I am real excited about living community here and getting to see all the Lord will have done here.
