My ‘I’ squad of 33 others and I started this new chapter of our lives in Boston, where we launched into what we call The World Race. It was a surreal night filled with exciting moments reconnecting with squad mates and a lot of “we are actually doing this” type phrases, with loads of enthusiasm.

Some felt the need to squeeze into a little nook at the airport                    While others, some last minute organizing

…and others took to the cold floor and  tried to get some shut eye.
I don’t blame ‘em, it was a good bit past midnight and the beginning of
what was to be a semi-long travel day….The life of a world racer!!

By the way, I am sorry It’s been almost a week since we left the states, and I haven’t thrown up any updates, it has been somewhat of a busy schedule coming into Guatemala.

So yea, we are currently in Guatemala, our first country. The Airport turned out to be way more nicer than I really expected…definitely better than the airport in Lagos, Nigeria (my home country), one of, if not the busiest and a major international airport into the country.

Well this is me looking out the terminal after arriving in Guatemala, just thought i’d share the pretty cool view.

So yea, we are currently in a nice small town called Panajachel, which is serving as a transit point for the squad to get debrefied on our mission here and a little time of more training and just getting poured into, spiritually.

We also just got word on where team Abandon will be spending her time in Guatemala. We will be a pioneering team going to a town called HueHuetenango, which we have shortened to HueHue(pronounced as ‘wae wae’)….the first of world race teams to go to this particular area and ministry, so it should be interesting. It is going to be exciting, and I will talk a little more about it in my next update…

Thanks for all the prayers and support. Pls continue to keep me and my team, Luke, Cori, Jess , Kimi and Erin in constant prayer. I am still in need of some montly pledges to keep me going financially to reach the goal of $16,000 needed to keep me out on the field with my team. So as you follow me, please also prayerfully consider supporting me financially. Talk soon!
