I don’t really know what I should be writing about since nothing totally interesting is happening but I thought a short update would be good.
My teammates and I have started to get to know eachother through GroupMe and Snapchat. Social media is great when all of us live thousands of miles apart. It’s so encouraging to hear from all of them, on how their fundraising is going..plus their tips and ideas are super helpful! I am so excited to meet my future family!
So far you guys have helped me raise 1,135usd!!! This means I am 6% done! That doesn’t seem very far along but I am definitely grateful and thankful. It’s getting so real now.
Last week I bought my backpack, some camping sporks and a sleeping bag liner (REI was having some good sales ;)). Sadly, I have to ship it all to my grandparents since shipping to China is quite expensive. I can’t wait to get my hands on all the stuff that’ll be my home for 9 months. On black Friday I ordered a new, smaller computer so I’ll have something to write my blogs with while on the Race.
