He literally is… here I am, a broken and far from perfect girl who fails multiple times a day loving and honoring Him – yet He absolutely loves delighting in me and making me happy.
A few weeks ago I spoke at my family church, the church I grew up in and became a Christian at. I spoke about World Race, what I was doing, how God drastically changed my world, and I asked the congregation at each service to prayerfully consider supporting me. I walked out the door with $1,300 and eight days later had a total of over $3,000 in donations from my church. WHAT?! I am absolutely amazed, and the donations keep coming in from my church family… I am beyond blessed and deeply grateful that words can't even describe.
Since then God has continued to show off His crazy side. I did a Yard/Bake sale this past Saturday and if I didn't have a powerful God who is on my side, it would've been a disaster. But He provided. He provided friends to help out and keep me sane during the process, a family who supported me, friends of my family who came out to donate, and strangers who all together helped me raise $500 that day. WHAT?!
Now… I have three final fundraisers I am doing. Today I have one at Chipotle and multiple friends have "shared" the link on facebook (flyer is posted below) to help spread the word in support. I didn't even ask them to but I am so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life that love to help me in that way. They are so good to me.
Then, for the past four years I have babysat the coolest little boy I know. I call him "my favorite little man," because he literally is the best. He and his family have become a second family to me and today his mom, Shay Falk, offered to do a Stampin' Up! fundraiser for me from now until August 25th to help offset costs of vaccinations and malaria meds. I am blown away!!!
Here is the link: http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/shay/events?id=912370 and all you have to do is go to "Products" above the calendar and use the hostess code listed below the calendar for your purchase.
God is crazy – but He is a crazy good God.
Route Change!
Last week we found out that X-Squad will no longer be starting off in Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda. Instead, we will be heading out to South Africa, Swaziland, and Mozambique! I am extremely excited about these new countries because God must have some great things planned there if He wanted us to start there instead!
I also officially leave in 22 days… so pumped!
