Vaccinations

We are not doctors and have no medical training so we are not qualified from a medical perspective to say that you should or should not get certain shots. 

 

What you need to do is visit the Center for Disease Control website to learn more about vaccinations you might need to get for the Race.  Click on the link below to search for the countries that are on your Race route. 

You MUST get any vaccinations that are BOLDED and listed as required.

 

 

 

You also have the option of going to see a travel doctor.  They can get you set up with everything that you need to keep you healthy on the Race.

 

Also, take note: Some countries require a Yellow Fever Certificate to enter or cross their borders, so pay particular attention to that.

 

Some countries that you visit or travel through on your Race will require a Yellow Fever Certificate to enter. Many countries strictly enforce this entrance requirement and deny entry to travelers who are not able to present a Yellow Fever Certificate. All Adventures participants are required to meet the entrance requirements for the countries on their route in order to participate in the program. Failure to meet entrance requirements that result in a denial of entry will result in early departure from the program at the participant’s expense. Because routes are subject to change, and because travel plans will sometimes necessitate travel through a country with a Yellow Fever Certificate requirement, we recommend that all participants obtain a Yellow Fever Certificate. If you have questions or are told by a clinic that you are not eligible for the vaccine, please contact your mobilizer.
