hi from ireland-finally!
It has been an awesome month and it’s hard to believe that on Tuesday we’re moving on to our next country: Romania! Although for the month we’ll be serving in a country that I don’t think I’m allowed to disclose yet. But my team & I are beyond excited for our new ministry there. This month my team, Petra, Beautiful Feet and Goodness Gracious have been serving in Coleraine, North Ireland, working with the Causeway Coast Vineyard Church. We’ve helped out with a vacation bible school and done a lot with serving the community through toilet washing, window washing, passing out lollies…just basically doing anything we can to show the love of Jesus.
One of my favorite parts of being here is the opportunity we’ve had to be apart of a healing ministry and to be trained in healing by one of the pastors at the Vineyard Church. I’ve never seen God heal someone before, but within the last 2 weeks I’ve seen God grow legs that were uneven, heal messed up knees, scoliosis and make perfect eyesight. It’s been crazy to have that be the norm of our lives. If someone is hurt, we just expect for God to heal them and pray for them in the authority that we have in Christ. I’ve learned that healing comes not from saying the right words or yelling loud enough for the healing to happen or being a good enough Christian, but by the love and grace and compassion and peace of Jesus. All that healing is is an outpouring of God’s ridiculous love for his children and his desire for them to be whole. Praying for someone to be healed is something available to everyone who knows Jesus, something we already have and we just need to walk in. Experiencing it has definitely built my faith up and my expectation to see God heal tons more hearts, bodies, minds and souls throughout the next year. I’m learning that absolutely nothing is impossible with God…
“I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
