Alright, so this trip is going to be completely amazing!
……..and also expensive.
I know in the past I could NOT have made it on trips if it weren’t for the generosity and care of so many people. And despite the fact that asking people for money is awkward and uncomfortable, I’m going to have to rely even MORE on people’s generosity for this trip than I have in the past.
In the past, fundraising has felt awkward mainly because I viewed people’s gifts as gifts to me, and that was weird to ask for. In reality, the gifts of supporters don’t just mean a nice trip for me, the gifts mean that people across the world have one more person to hear their stories, pay attention to them, give them food, play with them, love them and share the hope of Christ with them.
So really the gifts of supporters don’t just help me out, they allow me to pay it forward to God’s children all across the globe.
And I am so thankful for every single gift and person I will get the privilege to meet!
