A girl that was on the camp staff came up to me while I was praying last week and said, “I feel like God is saying that He knows you have been pushed to your limits but He wants you to dwell in His love.” I stood there asking God, “what do you mean ‘my limits’? Do you think I can’t handle what you have put before me?” I had been feeling like He was really putting me through some tests and had been kind of discouraged about how things seemed to be turning out but by no means did I feel like I had reached my limit! I thought, I am tougher than you think, I can handle a lot! And God said to me, “You don’t even see your own limits. You are blind to them because you are so caught up in yourself….you think you can do everything on your own. This is why you are so discouraged, it is why you haven’t been able to experience my joy, peace, and freedom. You hit your limit a long time ago but you serve a limitless God!! I want you to recognize your limitations so that you can hand everything beyond you to me, so you will stop trying to control everythng, so you can experience my joy and freedom, so that you can REST IN ME. Stop dwelling on your situations and trying to work everything out…you have reached your limit! GIVE IT TO ME AND DWELL IN MY LOVE!”
