World Race Apprenticeship

Life after a World Race or Real Life trip may be a time of reconnecting and maybe even returning to jobs, ministries, communities, etc.  However, for most, it’s been merely the tip of the iceberg.  The three to eleven months spent on the field has only made you more aware of the realities of our world.  You no longer have to be convinced, you’ve seen the poverty, you’ve met those searching, you’ve smelt, touched, heard and lived alongside those you only speculated about.  And for some of you…it’s unacceptable.  This is your chance to see your dreams become reality.

This is real ministry, your ministry.

There is an opportunity to continue the journey if only to explore where God might be leading you to serve next.  The Apprenticeship Program is a 6-month period of time spent serving the greater ministry of Adventures in Missions.  It may include serving in one of the departments of the World Race or Real Life programs (ie. Logistics, Training, Admissions, etc.), or it may include sharing your story as part of a Recruitment Team focused on bringing on board more participants to begin their journey of initiation.  This fall, we will even begin the process of launching ministries from the ground up (entrepreneurial minded teams will be assembled to create and launch new endeavors).  After six months, we will evaluate and see what opportunities emerge.

It will be a season of exploring, but also a season of discipleship, community, asking hard questions and living a life led by the Spirit.  It’s not a landing zone, it’s an investment into you and your furture.

The cost of the Apprenticeship is a support-raised $10,000 ($1,500 per month of which will be your salary after taxes).  You will be responsible to cover all your living expenses and relocate to Gainesville, GA to engage in the community there.
