As you have noticed I have not blogged basically all month. This is in part from a few things with the first being I still have not had my computer returned to me ( I am still hopeful!) Second, because this has been the craziest month I have ever experienced ever!
Recap:
First week: Great, God was challenging me in so many ways and it was hard but I was loving it.
Second week: Laptops and other important things taken.
Third week: Dug deeper into things in my past that I didn’t even know were there. It was hard and i’m still trying to process through it, but God has given me a peace about it all.
Fourth week: Two of my brothers get very sick along with tons of other squad members. All the doctors would do is test for malaria, aka very frustrating. As we are tending to the sick, a Hurricane decides to come through Haiti. Thus it lead to roads flooding and held us from heading back to Santo Domingo for debrief. So we are currently still in Haiti staying at a wicked nice missionary house in Port au Prince. God provides because we all have our own clean bed with 3 meals cooked for us each day we are here. There is also wifi and showers!
What’s to come?
We are resting here for a few days just enjoying the fellowship of our squad. Then we are making our way back to DR, then Florida to LA to Bangkok. Am I stoping there? OH NO! 10 more hours on a bus to Chang Mai and than 2 more hours into the country side near the Burmese boarder where I will be working in a Buddhist village.
Stay tuned for another blog. It will be coming at you all in just a day or so… maybe less 😉
