The past week has been a trying time. This is exactly what I've wanted, what I've needed to continue to grow. But any time of facing challenges or discouragement is never a pleasant process. Having the conversations with my parents, already doubting God's provision for me, and questioning my conviction have all been very distracting.
But in the midst of all this, God has already responded and given me the reassurance I've needed. I had the opportunity to go to Remnant church here in NYC. The pastor gave a great message on investing our time and energy into things that will have impacts in eternity. Afterward, I talked briefly with him and he prayed for me, telling me the exact things I needed to hear – "Delight in the Lord first. Don't worry so much about the logistics or the decisions that lie ahead, but just find that joy in Him first and foremost."
It hasn't been very long since I accepted my spot on the World Race team. In such a short amount of time, I've already had more doubts, and God has already responded with such a reassuring hand.
I recorded this video months ago, but it has so much more meaning to me in this instance. "I surrender. Lord have your way in me."
