When I first arrived in the US, I stayed with my squad mate Ali and her family and we went to her family’s farm. It was so much fun! (In the picture: Harris, me and Ali)

I can’t really believe it. It’s been just over a year and a half since I first met a World Race team in Cambodia. It’s such a crazy time warp when I think about all that’s happened since then but on the other hand, I really can’t believe I’m about to do the same thing!

When I first met the team, I thought it was crazy and ridiculous what they were doing and laughed at the idea of ever signing up.

Well, here I am. I’m lying on a comfy hotel bed in Atlanta, Georgia ready to begin this wild journey.

Some times I feel extremely unprepared. I wonder how the heck I’m supposed to live out of my backpack for a year, or even do half the things that I think could come up.

But that’s ok. I don’t need to have it all together. I’m just going to take it one day at a time. I’m not going to worry about what could happen.

I know Jesus has my back. I know He’s going to use all that I have and I will just keep saying yes to what He asks. (That’s easy to say now but I know it’s definitely something I need to keep growing in.)

Well, it’s time to zip up my back pack and get ready to get on the plane!

It’s time for South Africa! It’s time to get started! Yaaaay!!

It’s finally time!!!

After church on Sunday, a bunch of us went out to lunch
