Before the race, I lived with my mom, dad, and brother. The first month of being on the race I lived with almost forty girls. Three rooms, one roof, one kitchen, and four bathrooms. This month and the next I live with fifteen girls, seven of them on my team.

It’s not easy. But we’re learning.

To communicate

To choose unity

To sacrifice

To give grace

To call each other higher

To be sensitive and aware of each others needs

To use each of the gifts God has given us

To keep the bond of peace

Recently my team mate Eliza asked everyone in our team to answer several questions. One of the questions was what is something I want to see on this race? I chose a sisterhood. That we would constantly challenge and learn from each other. That we would run to each other in the best of times and in the worst of times. And that we would become a family that stays together even beyond this race.

In the four-ish months I have known my team, we have learned so much about each other. I can only be excited for the relationship we’re going to have by the end of this race.
