This past month or so, many people have poured into my life about my future and my walk with Christ, and here are just a few!

“GET OFF THE MAT”

John 5:2-9

Very infrequently a spring would come from underneath the pool of Bethesda and would make the water overflow, bringing healing to one out of the whole multitude that laid around it. Imagine looking out at the pool and wondering if today was going to be your day for healing, breakthrough, or wholeness. Wondering if you were in the right place at the right time. These people were known as their issue, and it was their entire identity. Notice we don’t know their names (verse 3). In verse 5 we read about a man who had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. This tells me two things about God…

He cares and loves each one of us no matter how we look, smell, or dress. No matter where we come from or where we are currently. No matter our issue. He doesn’t love me anymore than the woman on drugs down the road or the man that has left his family up the street.

Secondly, He gives us free will. Notice Jesus asks the man if he wanted to be healed. And after so many years the man answers saying that it’s not his fault he’s not healed.  No one has put him in the pool. Are you willing to lose the label of your sickness? Do you honestly want healing?

We MUST start doing something. What if you left the pool the day, the hour, or even the minute before your healing, blessing, or wholeness came? What if?

Do not accept your sickness or brokenness. Say YES to God as you move past it and get the healing and wholeness that He longs for us to all have.

DO YOU WANT MORE

In the alter service, Pastor Jacob encouraged us to pray on our own, without music, without anyone laying hands on us, just purely our cry to God. During these four hours, He showed me how He can use people, through the gift of prophecy, to affirm any doubt I have with my voice colliding with His. He continues to give me confidence to stand up to the enemy and get back the things he has stolen from me. He continues to remind me of His timing, even in my impatience that if I keep on surrendering myself and what I think my future should be, that His will, will keep on unfolding day after day. He reminds me that He desires a pure and childlike wonder to flood my mind. He continues to put people in my life that are going or who have gone through similar circumstances, as a reminder that I am not alone.

A reflection

I’m so stinking thankful for all that God has done in my life. The amount of prayers, gifts, and partnerships throughout this process of getting ready for training camp and launch is teaching me so many things, and I can’t thank y’all enough!
