Wow guys!!! I’m so excited to tell you about training camp!
in summary: it was W I L D and I N C R E D I B L E
I left camp with so much P E A C E
E X P E C T A N T of what the LORD has in store

So much happened in 10 days – wow!!
sat through incredible teachings on missions, the Kingdom of God, discipleship, living with Holy Spirit, the grand narrative of scripture (one of my fav topics!! ask me about it- love love talking about it), cultural lenses around the world, prayer, living in community, and so, so much more ! ! !
heard more of the heart/ vision behind the race — truly, this was one of my favorite parts!!! made me so so so much more excited to be a part of all the LORD is doing here
MET my squad (the group of 30 who are on the same route with me) and my team (the group of six I will be doing life and ministry alongside for the first part of the Race!!!!) & guys, they are incredible — but more on them in a minute 🙂
lived in tents, took bucket showers, and ate with our hands for many, many meals (sorry mom lol)
enjoyed sweet, sweet community, reading scripture together, praying with and for one another, sharing meals, offering words of encouragement and wisdom, and having so much fun just doing life alongside one another
heard story after story of how the LORD has moved through people on the race – SO COOL

I was blown away to be honest with how the leadership of the race holistically trained us. I kind-of expected going in to sit in training sessions all day (which we for sure did) and then the rest of camp be “normal” – but no! They were so intentional in everything we did – from different sleep scenarios where half the team “lost their luggage” on a travel day, cramming people into tents & sharing toothpaste, to meal time where each day would be food of a different culture and you would follow the customs of that culture that day- for example, for Asia day- we ate lots of rice and with chopsticks all day, for Africa/ India day – we ate with our hands and wore long skirts/ pants, to them entirely re-creating a foreign market with vans driving through + babies hanging out the window, beggars, people pick-pocketing, having to barter for your food, & a loud, crazy, congested little space – I was so impressed.

But really, the BEST PART was the people!! I can’t begin to express the love + gratitude + peace I already have for my team!! I will do a more in-depth intro of them soon, but in the meantime – you can see them all on the left column of my blog. team name: W I L D
short for wildflowers – a group of unique, beautiful and simple souls ready to love on the world
~ the name idea came from one of my favorite quotes from my fav book- Hinds Feet on High Places
“I have often wondered about the wildflowers, she said.
It does seem strange that such unnumbered multitudes should bloom in the wild places of the earth where perhaps nobody ever sees them and the goats and the cattle can walk over them and crush them to death.
They have so much beauty and sweetness to give and no one on whom to lavish it, nor who will even appreciate it.
The look the Shepherd turned on her was very beautiful. Nothing my Father and I have made is ever wasted, he said quietly, and the little wildflowers have a wonderful lesson to teach.
They offer themselves so sweetly and confidently and willingly, even if it seems that there is no one to appreciate them. Just as though they sang a joyous little song to themselves, that it is so happy to love, even though one is not loved in return.
I must tell you a great truth, Much-Afraid, which only the few understand.
All the fairest beauties in the human soul, its greatest victories, and its most splendid achievements are always those which no one else knows anything about, or can only dimly guess at.
Every inner response of the human heart to Love and every conquest over self-love is a new flower on the tree of Love.
Many a quiet, ordinary, and hidden life, unknown to the world, is a veritable garden in which Love’s flowers and fruits have come to such perfection that it is a place of delight where the King of Love himself walks and rejoices with his friends.
Some of my servants have indeed won great visible victories and are rightly loved and reverenced by other men, but always their greatest victories are like the wildflowers, those which no one knows about.”
I am so excited to do life and ministry alongside this team!! wow- I already feel so at home with them & so admire the depths of their hearts and drive to serve the LORD and love people !!!

Guys, truly camp was so good. And I feel more ready, excited and prepared for the journey ahead & expectant of all the LORD will do!!!!!! LAUNCH IS IN 37 DAYS — Mongolia – here I come!
ways to partner in prayer —
a little out of the ordinary prayers over the race, or what I like to call my bizzare & bold prayers ~
- to weep !! for the LORD to break my heart for the things that break his! ( this is a big one !!! (I don’t…ever… but want the LORD to break this wall so I can connect to people deeper- weeping with those who weep & rejoicing with those who rejoice)
- to have opportunities to be intricately involved in hostels – behind the scenes and doing ministry through relationship building (the beat of my heart/ prepping for the future with this one!! yippeee!! also- the LORD gave me visions of this one at camp, again remind me of why he brought me to the race)
- to live always expecting the LORD to move – ears open always to listening, and heart always ready to obey
lastly – please pray over fundraising !!!
I have a little over $6,000 left!!!!
my goal since the beginning has been to be fully funded by my birthday – JULY 6 which is quickly approaching!!
Please pray over partnering with me in this journey! The LORD is going to do such big things this next year – you don’t want to miss the opportunity to be a part of it!
let’s be E X P E C T A N T together of the ways he will move & bring his KINGDOM
for we are all ONE BODY, for ONE MISSION, to serve the ONE AND ONLY GOD, to bring HIS KINGDOM TO EARTH hallelujah!!!!!!!!
maybe consider donating 22 $ for my 22 birthday haha??
YOU GUYS ARE INCREDIBLE – I am so thankful to be partnering with you in the work of the gospel!
