My original post in this section was totally lame and made me sound boring, so I’m re-doing it.
Hi! My name is Annie, and I’m CRAZY excited for this adventure. Ever since I was a kid, I have always always always wanted to leave the country and go see the world. However, I was never interested in the touristy front that a lot of countries put up. I wanted to see the nitty-gritty real life version of every country, and this is going to let me do it! Not only am I going to be able to say that I’ve been to these countries, but that I’ve lived in these countries, if only briefly. AH! Dream come true amirite?
Some background: I am a proud owner of an Associate’s Degree from a cute little community college in Charlottesville, Virginia. Holla! While I will be going back to school eventually, I decided to put it on hold until I figure out what I want to go to school for. No point in wasting time or money on something I don’t even know I like. So, it’s off to eleven countries I go.
Some other background (and some future, too): While I’ve put it on hold for now, I plan on joining the military in the future – most likely the Navy. I’ve always been drawn to the military, and I was apart of the JROTC program in my high school and LOVED it. It’s where I thrived. So, I think military is probably a good option for me. Just not yet.
Tired of background yet? Here’s some more: I was a competitive swimmer for 13 years, and I loved (and also hated at times) every second of it. Being apart of a sport like swimming shaped a huge part of my personality and relationships. I only wish it could’ve lasted longer.
Some personal stuff (with some more background): I am number two out of four awesome kids. My two brothers and sister are some of my best friends, and I know I’m very lucky to be able to say that. We’ve all been pretty close for the majority of our lives, which made growing up so much more fun. I’m blessed in the family department.
I am now satisfied with this post.
