A few weeks ago, I decided I was going to have a garage/storage sale to help fund my World Race. i was expecting to be doing the whole thing by myself at my house with hardly any stuff to sell. God took my expectation and exceeded it drastically. I had two really amazing friends donate their shop to me for me to use as the location (and my personal home for the days leading up to the sale). Then I had friend upon friend offering to bring me donations of items that I could sell. A lot of them weren’t just any old items either, I was given some really awesome things that I could sell for at least $50 of I wanted to. THEN God blessed me with some fantastic friends/family to help out with pricing items, hanging clothes, moving furniture, and organizing donations. Let me tell you, it was no easy task either. I had some amazing people there with me (whom I love SOOOO much) from the time I got out of school until 11:00 most nights, and the night before the sale they were there until 2:30 and then woke up (or just didn’t sleep) at 4:30 with me to start setting up for the sale! These friends also kept me from having multiple panic attacks when I would look around and see how much more I would have to get done. I love them so much! After that, I had a TON of family friends wake up early with me to bring tables and help me set up whatever I needed. I also had a ton of really great people come to help me sell items and keep me company while I was there. God is so awesome, and I am so thankful for EVERYONE He worked through to raise money at my sale.
God didn’t just bless me through the people who helped me out, he also blessed me with the people he brought to buy things at the sale! Over $2,131 was given to me for my race, and I can’t help but see Gods fingerprints throughout all of it. All the Glory to Him forever! He moved in such miraculous ways Saturday, and I couldn’t have done any of it without him! He is SO good!
I continue to see Him working to get me to my goal of $6,000 by the end of the month. Today a fantastic family friends gave me $1,500 at church today. God is moving in people’s hearts to donate and it is so cool to get to watch him work! I have full faith hat He will get me to where I need to be by the time I leave. I am so thankful for all that He is doing and for all of the wonderful people he has put in my life! God is so good!
