Our host this month is a wonderful man of God named Moses. We live on the church grounds in two rooms off of the sanctuary. Our five star accommodations are each room housing three tents. Karen, Meagan and I live upstairs and Mary, Jen, and Heather live on the main floor. Our toilets and shower are outside in a lovely little building. We truly are so blessed with our living conditions.
Moses’ wife Susie cooks our food everyday breakfast, lunch and dinner. She is such a wonderful blessing! Moses and Susie have two children that live at home, Joel and Watipaso. When she sees us coming to eat, Wati says “The hi’s are coming!”
Before every meal, we ask Wati to pray. She smiles and then throws herself down on the nearest piece of furniture or the floor and covers her face. You have to strain to hear her sweet little voice talking to Jesus. She gets so excited about it. This is what she prays:
“ Thank you God for the nice day. Bless this food in Jesus name, Amen!” It never gets old and it is so beautiful. I love it.
This month, Karen has emphasized the importance of prayer to our ministry. We meet people during the week at visitation and evangelism who we literally can do nothing but pray for them. One of our goals as a team is to seek the Lord more in prayer.
Vietnam was a month of prayer for me. I prayed for squad mates, teammates, and my family. I talked to Jesus and heard from him a lot. I have not been as consistent this month as we settle into our routine here in Mzuzu. I am hoping this week is better. We get to work in our classroom again with the students in the mornings and then do outreach in the afternoons. We also are painting the classrooms for the students as a surprise. I will post some before and after pictures later this month.
I love being part of Team Credence. These women are so great. We laugh and love and call each other higher. We went to Lake Malawi on Saturday and it was gorgeous but I have been sick since then, mostly sneezing and congestion. I can’t tell if it is allergies or a cold or both. Praying for healing for myself.
Wifi is still very sketchy but I am going to try to blog at least once a week this month. There is too much to tell not to.
