Jess Jenkinson: Team Leader
My name is Jess Jenkinson:) I am 24 about to turn 25 on the 10th of December and my hometown is Bethany, Oklahoma. My major in college was finance and my most recent job was as a banker. I came to know the Lord this past year! It was a slow process and my desire for something bigger than me. I am looking forward to meeting other people and seeing how God works through me to reach them and how God will change me over the year!
Danielle Arlinghaus: Treasurer
I go by the nickname Dani. I’m 24 and will turn 25 this month before launch. I’m from Milford, Ohio which is about 20 minutes outside of Cincinnati. I want to travel the world, make a difference in other people’s lives, and get to know God on a deeper level. I majored in English (I have no idea what I will do with this degree but I’m sure God has a plan). I was working as a Paralegal but I quit a few weeks ago to spend time getting ready for the race. I grew up in a religious family but I didn’t start building a relationship with God until a couple of years ago around the time I graduated college. I’m most excited about building my relationship with God and making connections with all sorts of people around the world.
Isaac Coltrain
My name is Isaac Coltrain and I am 21 years old. Currently I’m enrolled as a Computer Information Technology student at Beaufort County Community College in Washington, NC. In the summer of 2013 God blessed me with the opportunity to do missions work in Ukraine. That experience totally changed the way that I viewed the world and gave me a fire to do something to change it. A few months after my return to the states a friend of mine told me about The World Race. It did not take long for God to let me know that that is where He wanted me, before I could even research it for myself everyone around me was confirming that it was the right thing to do. Now I’m set to launch an an 11 month long adventure of a lifetime, to spread the word of God to all of the world.
Lydia Burns
My name is Lydia Burns, I am 22 years old, and I am from Kansas City, Missouri. I have known that I was called into ministry from a young a age. I’ve always had a huge passion for missions. One day I googled missions trips and Adventures in Missions popped up! I began to read through the info about the world race, and I instantly felt God pull at my heart. I knew then that the race was what he wanted for me for 2015. I graduated in 2013 with an A.A. in Contemporary Worship Leadership from Central Bible College. I’ve grown up a pastors kid and accepted Christ at 5 years old. I’ve been blessed in that I’ve always known Him. The thing I am most excited about for the world race is the knowledge that God is going to change lives even though I don’t know what people it will be or how He is going to do it. It’s just so exciting!
