This weekend I went camping with six of my new world race family members in Dahlonega, Georgia. Seven of us girls enjoyed a weekend of laughter, fellowship, and adventure. I went camping (like really camping, not just in the basement) for the third time in my life. There were several fun parts and a few parts that I am going to have to learn to get used to – bugs, lack of 1st world plumbing, being sticky and sweaty, and did I mention the bugs?

I absolutely loved how this weekend showed me that our bond with each other is stronger than any other in the world. Our love of Jesus and our relationships with him bind us together and make us like sisters. The level of the depth our conversations took this first night we really knew each other required that usually takes months of friendship. I love it! I am so excited for this amazing adventure we are going on. And it was so refreshing to be able to sit with people going through the same struggles and questions and talk about it.

This weekend showed me that this next year is going to be adventurous, wonderful, difficult and at times uncomfortable, but I will be embarking on it with some amazing women and men of God who each want to pursue Jesus and show the good news with the world. October 11(Training Camp) is not going to get here fast enough!
