I don’t think that I have been more than 10 feet away from World Racers for over a month until we came to Bangkok.  While we were in the mountains there was little escape from World Racers and people in general.  We arrived at the YWAM base yesterday morning after an overnight bus trip.  With no roosters, pigs, smoke, or curious people to wake me up, I slept most of the day.  Today I spent most of the day just having some much needed alone time.  So, I don’t have much to blog on, but I wanted to give an update so people would not be worried (i. e. my Mom).  Tomorrow we head to debrief for a few days.  It should be fun because supposedly it is on a beach.
One thing that I did want to mention is Yellow Shirt Monday.  Every Monday is king’s days, so the people of Thailand wear yellow shirts with the king’s emblem on them.  You would not believe the number of yellow shirted people walking around on a Monday to honor the king.

It reminds me of Pittsburgh when the Steelers have made it to the Super-Bowl, only more people participate here.  I noticed Toys R Us employees wearing shirts with both the king’s emblem and the Toys R Us emblem.  Apparently every Monday employees of even very serious businesses can wear the yellow shirt to work.  I love Yellow Shirt Monday.  It shows the respect the people have for their king and to an outsider the country seems to be very unified.  Can you imagine getting the US to wear a shirt to support any one cause not to mention the President?
