Today was to be the day to put the roof on the church, but
it turned into a day of painting the church instead. The pale yellow paint came in big bags rather
than cans, which seemed unusual. We then
watered down the paint and started brushing it onto the brown walls. The first coat did not come close to covering
up the brown; nasty brush marks remained visible. I doubted the process of watering down the
paint, but the second coat looked much better.

Painting is fun. It may even be
more fun than shoveling sand.
