Tomorrow morning my team of 5 will head to a village about an hour from Palenque called, Aquilar. I don’t know many details at this point, but I think we will be working with a Pastor named Samuel. We will be staying in a church, or with family, or in our tents. What an adventure! A majority of the villagers do not speak Spanish, but instead speak Chol. I bought a futbol today because I figure that playing is the same in every language. And of course I will be taking my frisbee. My team stocked up on supplies to last us three days… rice, beans, spaghetti, tuna, eggs, bananas, avacado, and most importantly, toilet paper. We also bought 4 big jugs of water to keep us hydrated; it has been rather hot and humid lately. I actually prefer the heat to the days of rain. I proabably will not have access to Internet for a week or two, but I’m sure soon enough I will have lots of good stories to share. Thank you, thank you for the comments. I cherish every one of them.
