I do not like saying goodbye.  This morning Miriam brought each of us a beautiful handmade bag that her mother had made.  Miriam is a teenager that Tana and I have enjoyed spending time with during the past few days; it was hard to leave her.  Many villagers gathered around to shake hands and say thanks. An elderly lady grabbed my hand and bowed her head down to my hand.

At this point in our goodbye I feel sadness, but I also feel that I am not worthy of their thanks, praise, and gifts.  They are the ones that have blessed us with their homes, food, and gifts.  I pray that the Lord blesses them for the hospitality and love they showed us.

I got to ride in the back of the truck again on our way back to Chang Mai.  We are spending the night at the guest house again tonight then we will head back out to the mountains in the morning.  I can’t wait for a nice cool shower.
