We started out the day this morning at 7 am with a drive
through the game park. Jan (our contact
here) needed to drop off a compressor at one of the camp sites and asked us to
join him. On the drive we were able to
see wildebeests, kudu (a species of deer that dwarf PA white tail deer), more
monkeys impala, and two herds of giraffe.
We also got to check out the other camp sites. The accommodations are amazing; each place
has a theme with animal decorations.
Some of the rooms have lofts, some have fireplaces, and some have
kitchens. Anyone could come and stay out
at a site and see only animals and trees for a whole week. Shikaru is truly a place of peace.

After our morning of fun we got to work. I went back to painting for the rest of the
day. This evening we had hamburgers
cooked over a fire as we enjoyed the warmth from the fire looking up at the
stars. It was a great end to a good
day.
