Well I have officially made it to Georgia! One step closer until I am boarding a plane and heading to Swaziland! I said goodbye to my parents this morning and I will stay here for a few more days and head out on Monday. My team/squad is also here and it has been so sweet to be able to reconnect with them. Prayers would be appreciated for safe travels for my squad as we prepare to leave the country on Monday!
These past few weeks have been a rollercoaster of emotions. While yes, I am very excited for my journey ahead it has also been incredibly difficult saying goodbye to family and friends and leaving the comfort of home. As I watched my friends pack up and head back to college, I too wished that I was going back to begin my sophomore year. I wrestled with doubt and overwhelming amounts of sadness. However, during these times the Lord has been so sweet to me and has reassured me that this is exactly where he has called me to be. His plan far surpasses any plan I could make for my life. What happens in these next fews months remain a mystery to me, but the Lord knows. And I am placing my trust in his hands!
Thank you to all of those who have prayed for me, for those who reached out and shared a kind word with me, and for those who supported through donating. I appreciate y’all so much! I wouldn’t be able to go if it wasn’t for y’alls support. My next time posting a blog will most likely be in Swaziland, and I absolutely cant wait!! I will do my best, depending on wifi, to keep you updated on the work that the Lord is doing through my team and squad while we are there!
