I have officially made it to Swaziland!!! It took four whole days to get here, but we are here! Adventures in Missions has a base in Nsoko which is right near the border of South Africa and Swaziland, so that is where I am currently living! I have loved life here in Africa so far and I am so excited for these next three months!

Adjusting has been a little tough for me, I miss the comfort of home and my relationships even more than I thought I would. WIFI is very limited- which is why y’all are probably about to get flooded with several blogs. but despite missing the comfort of home and all that it entails, Swaziland has slowly started feeling more like home every day. Jesus has been so present here already through the people we encounter and the ministry that we are able to do doing the weekdays (which I will write about in a separate blog). I surprisingly am not tired of peanut butter and jelly yet despite the fact we have it every day for at least one meal. Hand washing and hanging up clothes, having to walk four miles to the nearest grocery store, living in a room with about 20 girls, the 60-degree weather at night and sometimes during the day, the people here, I am falling in love with it all! Swaziland is a very slow-paced country and it has honestly been a breath of fresh air compared to my life at home.

It still all seems very surreal. The fact I am on the world race, something that I have been talking about and considering for years, and that I am living in Africa. When I first got here, I was in the mindset that I wanted these next nine months to fly by so that I could return home to my family and friends. However, the Lord has really changed how I view my time here. I want to soak up these next nine months and take in every single day!

Prayer requests: for me to remain present here and find the good and the beauty that each day has to offer! safety and health for my team and for my squad, and for our tired bodies to be reenergized each week so we can love the people here as best as we can!
