It is so crazy to think that just 4½ months ago I left good ole Arlington Texas and started this journey! The Lord has taught me so much about his character and about myself than I could have ever imagined. I am excited for not only another 4½ months to grow closer to him, but a lifetime! Here are some of the things that the Lord has been walking me through and teaching me since being on the race!

-Every day is a gift from God! We are not promised tomorrow. The very breathe in our lungs is a gift from him! because of this we should be living our lives accordingly, living every day to bring glory to the one who blesses us abundantly!

-love! love! love! be love! my word for 2020 is love. Growing up in the church, it became very easy for me to be religious. I became numb to these life-giving stories that I have heard since I was a little girl. however, the Lord has given me new perspective and opened my eyes to what true religion should look like. True religion is receiving the love that the Lord has graciously given us, and in return pouring that out on others around us. being love to everyone we come in contact to! James 1:27

-I have realized my love for serving those around me! It is so filling and rewarding! I want to model the life that Jesus lived here on earth. He came to serve and not be served.

-You can’t control your circumstances, the only thing that you can control is how you respond. Choosing joy is just that, it’s a choice! What good is it to complain or let something upset you that you have no control over?

-faith! the lord taught me a lot about faith during my time in Swaziland. what true, radical faith in the Lord looks like and stories on the Bible where people have shown authentic faith in the Lord. (Abraham with Isaac, esther, daniel, rahab, so many people) with that, the lord has also taught me about his faithfulness to us. He remains the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, no matter what season we may be in.

-how the Lord views me. he sees me as his daughter! he even sees me as his bride! Isaiah 62:5 I am pure and I have been washed clean by the blood of Christ, and nothing can take that away

-our sole purpose on this earth is to be love and make disciples. we get so caught up in our own plans and desires! but its really quite simple, we just overcomplicate things. love God & love others! learning how to rejoice in the simple gospel!

I could seriously go on and on, but these are just a few of the big things that the Lord has been teaching me since being on the race. Also, I am currently in Chiang Mai Thialand! Ministry started this week and I could not be more in love with where we are at. I will post another blog about it soon, please reach out if you have any questions about anything! Love you all!!
