“Listen to me, o house of Jacob all you who remain of the house of Israel, you whom I have upheld since you were conceived, and have carried since your birth. Even to your old age and grey hairs I AM HE, I AM HE WHO WILL SUSTAIN YOU. I HAVE MADE YOU AND I WILL CARRY YOU; I WILL SUSTAIN YOU AND I WILL RESCUE YOU….” Isiah 46:3-13
I wrote this during the time we were ministering to women in the red light district in Phuket, Thailand. We were WORKING so desperatly hard to get these women out of the bars that God stopped me and spoke these words to me.
How easily we forget how much He loves us. As much as we are here to do His work and serve Him and bring His kingdom, we need to remember that He loves us. It is a mutual, epic love. He loves us more than Himself. He is molding us because He loves us enough to care about our charactor. He loves us enough to want us to become the women we were meant to be. He loves me just as much as the women in the bars. He wants me to be free just as bad as the women in the bars. He wants my chains to be broken the same as the women in the bars. We are here to bring the kingdom to the nations. What if we are also changing the world by letting Him change us? We are a part of this broken world so let Him work these things out in you. He delights in encountering you. Whether we sell ourselves or become missionaries, He loves us the same. I can see these women just as God sees them. Beautiful and perfect, just bound by chains, just like me.
