I just want to take a little space on this to thank everyone for their support. Whether it’s been your prayers, words of encouragement or prayer support, they have all helped me get to where I am now. They have helped restore me, press on, and fight for what is mine.

At this point, with the money that is currently in and the amount of support that people have pledged for the next year, I’m currently still in need of $5,500 to continue to go on the race. If you would like to help me out, you can either click on the support me link on the left hand side of the screen and follow the directions or mail your support to

Thanks again for all you guys have done!!!

On to other things, in case you’ve never been to Mexico, here’s a little list I’ve complied of what some things are like down here… 🙂

-Right now, weather wise, it’s cool. It’s been raining the past 3 days and last night it got to where I had a fleece and my fleece jacket on. Otherwise, it’s really warm!!

-Most restrooms have no toilet paper or seat covers (and most cost 3 pesos or almost $.30 to use)

-Warm water is rare, so my shower time has greatly decreased 🙂 (it’s actually really nice since it’s so warm)

-The people are amazing. So giving!!!!! On Sunday, we went to a church off in the mountains and after the service they killed a cow just to feed all of us. The lunch was so good!!! Kind of like a crock-pot type meal. Yesterday, we were helping out the pastor here and he cut down a coconut. So, I actually had a real “unprocessed” coconut! (and milk) Later his wife brought out bananas for us.

-There are food vendors everywhere in town. Lots of fruits/veggie stands and taco stands. Lots of “American” food or cleaning products are sold there too, even though we are so far south. About 3 hours north of here we saw a Super Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club.

-Even with all the food, I love having peanut butter all the time. At night, sometimes the girls on my team would get together and talk over a jar of PB 🙂 Baby powder is also a golden treasure 🙂

-Bananas are tiny. You also peel and eat them “upside down” (from the way we eat them)

-Taxi’s can be something that looks like a mini-van and can hold up to 12 people.

-The majority of the streets are paved and there are speed bumps everywhere to slow down the drivers.

-They have amazing pop here called Lift.  It like Apple Juice with bubbles 🙂

-They love to cook for you. Our team has eaten so much!  It´s their way of thanking us, and we are eating it up! 🙂  We get lots of torillas at every meal too, which are really good ¨fillers¨¨  I´ve started a new breakfast thing where I they mak toast and I put butter and sugar on it.  It kind of makes it taste like Cinnamon Toast Crunch (minus the cinnamon)

-We are now actually showering with either a hose or rainwater (see pictures)

-Ceiling fans cool things off dramatically!!

-I´ll have legs of steel by the end of this. 🙂 We hike into town, to our meals each day (which are at 9, 2  and 8 or later) all over…and it´s really refreshing!!!

-I´ve eaten my first fish still in it´s orginal fish form!¨:)

Those are just the little random things here.  The ministry this past week has been incredible too.  I´m running out of time, but please pray for the media team as we head up to the mountains with Team A for the next few days.  I´ll write more when I get back!
