Hi there!!
My name is Anne-Marie and I am so excited to share with you some amazing news! I have officially decided to go on mission for the Lord in Manila, Philippines! This was something that never crossed my mind until last fall. God had placed the word missions on my heart while I was applying to internships for this upcoming summer. I immediately pushed it back in my mind as I thought that was not the path for me. However, I was wrong. During Christmas break, I was home from college and my mom mentioned mission trips while I was scanning my computer for jobs this summer. My jaw dropped as I had never told her that that had previously crossed my mind. That was the moment I knew God was trying to lead me somewhere. Now I am on course to serve with World Race this upcoming summer!
During this past year, the Lord has been teaching me lots but recently learning how to be attentive to the Holy Spirit. As this path is not one most of my peers are taking, especially with graduation so soon in the future, the Lord continues to comfort me through His word, prayer, and community. A Bible verses I keep close to heart as I prepare to embark on this mission is Isaiah 41:13 which states, “For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you” and Proverbs 19:21 “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails”. I hope these verses encourage you too as you continue your walk in life. I would absolutely love to have your prayers and support as I continue to pray and prepare for this trip!!
