I’ve left Nepal and now I’m in Romania!
Wow, this is going by so quickly…
It was quite sad to leave our last contacts. I really enjoyed getting to know the Indian missionaries we lived with in Nepal. For the last part of the month we lived with them and helped with manual labour in the English school they run. We dug a big hole for garbage, leveled sand and soil, and made a bike shelter for the children’s bikes!
Our team has grown so much from the last month of hard manual labour. We had a lot of time to think and process. I really learned a lot from our contacts. They were so encouraging. Their life shows their full trust in God’s plan for them, even though it has meant leaving behind all that was comfortable and familiar in India and living a difficult life as missionaries in Nepal. Their example in truly seeking to follow God’s will is awesome! I am so glad we were able to help them with necessary jobs at the school. I think a big reason God placed us there was to encourage and serve them. We also were able to speak to the children (most coming from Hindu families) at the school about who Jesus is, who we are and what we’re doing! A great month 🙂
Outside our hostel window in Brasov!!
We are currently in Brasov, Romania. We have ‘debrief’ right now for a few days; resting, processing the last two months and meeting with our coaches and squad mates. It is very different here from India and Nepal. It is much colder and cleaner. I think I may be having culture shock for the first time.
It was so odd to see snow on the ground when we flew into Bucharest. It is so beautiful here and the snow makes me think of home.
Brasov!!
This month we will be living in the city of Targu-Mures! We will be working with a Hungarian Pastor; reaching out to gypsies, preaching, leading worship and doing door-to-door evangelism. It is going to look completely different from our last two months. I know we are going to be stretched so much this month, but I am so excited to see each of us continue to grow in God!
Thank you for all your support and encouraging words these past two months.
If anyone would still like to support me financially, you can give online on my blog or if you live near my home, you can give money to my church with my name in the memo line.
Thank you so much everyone. God is doing great things here and He is really stretching and challenging me to follow and trust Him! I hope you will partner with me in this ministry.
Love Anne
