If you know me, you know I love the beach, swimming and anything that has
to do with water. My best day here so
far is the day we went to the beach!!!!
After breakfast we all got on the bus! There were probably 4 to a seat and every inch of the bus was packed
full. I was in the front with the bus
driver and 10 other people. They really
know how to fill up vehicles here! The
bus drive was filled with the sound of honking (of course), goats and cows on
the road, Indian music and close calls with other vehicles and people.

Suzie’s awesome beach picture
I was quite excited about the beach from the moment I heard we might take
the children there. I didn’t really know
what the beach would be like…good sand, warm water, garbage, etc. However, I was excited for whatever. WELL….the beach had nice sand and warm
water!!!!! It was tremendous 🙂 Lauren and I were in the water the whole time
with the children except when we stopped for a lunch break of rice and chai!
All of the children really enjoyed it! They only get to go to the beach once a year and some have never been to
the beach before. I was really excited
to see them all enjoying the water and just getting outside the orphanage for a
bit. Best day!!!!
On the way home we stopped at a park! Yes, a park! How fun would that
be?! Well, it was fun until I found out that
it’s not uncommon for children to get kidnapped at this park. Children are kidnapped and then most are used
as beggars. We didn’t stay at the park
very long.
On the bus ride home, I couldn’t help but to cry and pray for the
children’s lives. I looked around and
saw all the little children I’ve come to love. I just imagined how horrible it would be if one of them was kidnapped
and used by someone. I began to pray for
each child that God would protect them and that they would become powerful
people here in India. I then had this
need to pray for everyone that we passed. As we drove through the crowded streets, I found myself praying for the
lives of everyone I saw. I know God has
a perfect plan for these people and I pray that they will know Him.
We see child beggars everywhere we go. We were warned when we first got here that a lot of beggars, especially
the children, are being used by someone else who receives all the money. Precious little children are being used every
day and they can’t help the situation they’re in. When I see child beggars in town, I find it
hard to even look at them because I don’t know how to help them. I don’t give them money because I know they
won’t actually get any of it. A few
people on my team have given food but they still continue to ask for more. How do I show love to them?
I am so glad we’re here to serve the children and owners of this necessary
orphanage. Please pray for these
children and their futures. Jesus loves
these children and I believe that He has brought our two teams here to show the
children that they are loved by Him.

my name!)
