Our team also had the opportunity to teach English classes to the locals of Carapungo. We did this through a church called La Luz with Pastor Efren. We spent the first week handing out flyers advertising our class and the following 2 weeks teaching. It was such a wonderful experience to be a part of! We had people of all ages and speaking levels. Our team really enjoyed learning how to work together and adapt our group times to what each one specifically needed. It was really special connecting with these people and learning more about them! I had the blessing of working with the kids a lot so I was Loving that! They gave us the best hugs and kisses and we loved laughing with them and playing games like Simon Says, I spy, and Duck Duck Goose…in English of course! The last night, we had a fiesta to celebrate! Everyone brought a snack to share and Pastor Efren shared the purpose of why our team was in Ecuador and prayed for all of us. Of course our purpose of the classes was to help people come through the doors of the church so they can better understand Christ’s individual love for them! Pray they would start attending! Pray that God would move in big ways in Carapungo and use Pastor Efren, his family and the church to
transform the community.
