So what is World Race Gap Year and why am I doing it?
World Race Gap Year is a 9 month long Christian ministry program, where the racers go to 3 different countries to spread the good news of God and to serve him! I decided I wanted to take a gap year a few years ago, but I never knew this is what God had in store for me. After a lot of signs and prayer, I knew that World Race was the program I was supposed to do!
As excited I am for this new season in my life, I can’t lie and say it’s going to be easy or comfortable. Truthfully, leaving home, my friends, and family behind for 9 months is completely terrifying and probably one of the hardest things I will do in my life. However, growth comes from discomfort and I know that there will be so much blessing through this. I am stoked to be able to walk into my calling and live for Jesus! Whether that be playing with orphans, evangelizing in the streets, manual labor, or just sitting with my squad and praying, I know God has such great things in store.
I have signed up for the Romania, India, and Costa Rica route! I will leave Sept. 2020 and return in May 2021. I am excited for what God is going to do in life in the next two years!
