Upon leaving Vuthy and his village early Easter Sunday we traveled to Siem Reap in Northern Cambodia where we met up with the rest of our squad for the night before leaving for Africa. Lets just say some of the squad was a bit in the dark as to the purpose of this squad wide meeting but not our team. We had a short visit from Scotty, one of our squad leaders, earlier in the month and during this visit I might have observed a little meeting he had with Lindsay and Dex. My wheels began to turn and I began to wonder how much and what kind of changes would be made to our teams.
Anyway at a dinner we had with the squad that Sunday, we found out that our team was changing. We lost Dex who was became a new team leader and we gained Jake. I am super excited to get to know Jake over these next four months and to continue to grow in community and relationships with those on my team. I wasn’t surprised that my team was changed. This has ben the third team change and every time my team has had some sort of adjustment. I guess the Lord knew that I needed to work on learning to adjust to change and I can say that I have grown in this area.
So my team is made of Lindsay, Ashley Aumen, Jake, A.J., Emily and I.
Our new name is “The Calvary”
