So, we’re in Bulgaria! This is our very last European country on the Race, and we can’t believe it! It’s all gone by SO fast. Already, our ministry here in Bulgaria has my heart.

Team Uplift, along with Team Warriors, are in Dobramirka, Bulgaria. We’re about 3 hours outside of Sofia in a small small town. We are working with an organization called Mission Possible, who puts on summer camps here in Dobramirka to help equip youth, teens and pastors. Our job is to help the camp run smoothly by doing things behind the scenes, like working in the kitchen, keeping the place clean during camp, and cleaning all of the rooms between camps.

What’s really cool is that I have been praying for hospitality ministry for months! The Lord has put radical hospitality my heart lately, and this ministry is such an answer to prayers! I have been a part of the A.M. crew, so I help prep for breakfast and lunch at 7am, help cook, clean dishes and the dining area, and then cook and clean more dishes after lunch. It’s been so nice to do all of the behind-the-scenes work and just simply serve the kids and families here.

We work hard in short spurts throughout the day, and in between, we rest in our hammocks and spend time with the Lord, catch up on reading, podcasts and blogs (which is why I’ll be posting so many this month… I’m way behind).

In these times of rest, we’ve all started to realize how truly exhausted we are. Not “I-just-can’t-do-this-anymore” exhausted… more like “Wow-I’ve-really-really-needed-this-rest-and-never-realized-it” exhausted. I’m not particularly good at processing my emotions real-time. Sometimes it takes a little bit of down time for me to realize “wow, last month was really stressful”, or “Huh… I REALLY miss our Exposure girls.” Needless to say, the mixture of hard work and hard rest has been a blessing for Team Uplift.

After our time in Dobramirka, we will be heading to Sofia for debrief where we’ll have team changes (!!!) and then we’ll be going to AFRICA (!!!!!). Prayers for the continent change would be so appreciated!

With love from Dobramirka, Bulgaria,

AnnaGrace
