My team and I are in Cambodia! This is meaningful in a few ways:

1. We are no longer in a closed country, so we don’t need to put passwords on our blogs. YAY!

2. We are no longer in a closed country, so we don’t need to censor anything Jesus-related on our blogs. JESUS! GOD! MINISTRY! BIBLE! It’s exhilarating.

3. We have very little access to wifi, and you probably won’t hear from me very much. Chances are, if you see that I have posted a blog, it’s because I am our team’s content manager, and I only have wifi access to post blogs for our team. It doesn’t mean that I’m ignoring your messages.

Here’s a quick update on what we are doing in Cambodia:

We are currently in the slums outside of Phnom Penh, working with a ministry called Cambodian Slum Ministries. While we are here, we will be teaching English and Bible classes to pre-school, middle school and high school aged kids. We are living in a house with our two amazing hosts and their two year old son. The second floor of the house is the classroom, and we are teaching kids who come from very underprivileged families. The catch is that we are in the middle of Cambodian New Year, so this week we don’t have any class at all. Instead, we are painting murals and making the classroom more beautiful, clean and organized.

Cambodia, as you may have guessed, is really really hot, but we are blessed enough to live in a home with fans and cold water. We spend most of our time painting and sweating out most of our body weight, and we’re loving it!

Please continue to pray for Team Rhemas as we prepare the classroom for these kids!
