Took an overnight bus from Georgia to Turkey and woke up to this
While at Burn we helped lead some worship sets, this was during our 5am set
Exploring the old ruins of Ephesus
It was so cool to walk the streets of Ephesus where disciples walked. It’s crazy how much biblical history is in Turkey but their eyes are blinded to it.
For real, Istanbul is a city of cats, they are everywhere!
Ashley was so happy and wanted to stop to pet all the cats.
Exploring the city and looking at all the beautiful buildings.
It was never boring being around these girls.
Enjoyed getting to explore the European side of Istanbul with them.
We went to visit this big mosque which everyone goes to see. I could feel the spiritual heaviness as a result of them worshipping and putting their hope in idols and false gods; but at the same time it felt incredibly empty. Please keep praying for eyes to be opened to the one true God. Here is a picture of Heidi and I before going in.
They had this big, indoor bazaar and it was so nice. I have learned on this trip how much I love to barter!
Turkey is serious about their soccer and I love it so much. This night was full of so many people with their jerseys on ready to cheer their team on.
It got cold in Turkey and it felt like fall which made me so happy. I was so ready to wear my flannel!!!
Brunch with Ashley after church on Sunday was great. Found me some quesadillas!!
It was also full of so many beautiful sunsets.
Everyday coffee, prayer and worship to start the day was amazing!
Its the little joys in life, like finding Korean food!
Prayer walking on the side of Istanbul where trafficking is happening, praying for break though!!
There was this bull we walked by everyday and everyone took a picture with it. So why not join in on it too:)
We got to take ferrys to get from the Asian side to the European side of Istanbul. I love that there are so many different forms of transportation all around us.
The last day in Turkey I switched teams and got to celebrate Lennie’s birthday.
Turkey was a really good month full of so much the Lord was showing me. Its also full of some pretty amazing people as well. Turkey is a country that is on my heart and I’m really praying for break though; for everyone’s eyes to be opened to God.
