One of the events that we help out with is called the Pancake and Chai event. At this event, we hand out free pancakes and Chai tea, braid people’s hair, have live music and even give Henna tattoos. I was part of the team handing out the pancakes and I loved seeing the smile on everyone’s faces.
It was a wonderful opportunity to talk to people from Australia as well as different countries such as Korea and China. I even talked with someone from Austin TX! It was easy to talk about God because everyone was curious about our generosity. I love talking with everyone from different nations and telling them how much God loves them and why we are there.
One of my favorite conversations was with two young girls. While learning who they were and where they were from, it was very easy to talk with them about God. As I was talking about God’s desire to have a personal relationship with each of us, one of the girls said she always want to ask questions about God! This led into a really great conversation about God and how to learn more about Him. I was able to give them a bible and show them where to start reading.
I believe the ease I have in talking with others about God is a direct result of your prayers! Keep praying with me for hearts open for the gospel.
