We have arrived in Morocco, which is our last stop on our 11-month trip. It is hard to believe in less than a week I will be home in America!
Our time in Morocco has been amazing. We have been blessed with a beautiful home to stay in while we are here. It is a nice place to rest and it has allowed us, as a team, to process the past eleven months. In addition, we have met an amazing community of local believers and have connected with their church.
This month, I have had a variety of opportunities to serve in the local church. These opportunities included serving in Kids church, teaching a Professional Business class (how to create a Facebook page for a small business, as well as how to create a business card), helping work at the church, teaching at a school for a day, conducting a bible study and some other really cool opportunities. It has been a joy to use some of the skills I have learned over the years and to hear their stories on how they decided to come to live here.
I have also spent time reflecting about the places I have been and all the people I have met. The other day as we were praying as a group, it was suggested we take a moment to think of all the people we had met. We began singing the song “How He Loves” and quickly changed it to “How He Loves Them.” This song became our prayer for all the people we had met along our trip. As I closed my eyes, I began to see the faces of all the people I had met and I gave thanks to God for all He had done for them and all He is going to do in each of their lives. It was quite an emotional time!
2 Corinthians 9:8 says: “Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.” God is so good. He generously provides all we need and from that abundance we are able to minister to those around us.
