As I have traveled from country to country, I have noticed things that remind me of my brothers and sister. Whether it was a bridge, a grocery store, a piano, or pens and journals, it made me think about them and how thankful I am to have them in my life. So this blog is for them and all they have done to support me as I follow the Lord.

Travis, who served in the Marines, has always been concerned about my wellbeing. He helped me prepare for this trip by giving me sound advice such as to always be aware of my surroundings, how to prepare for packing and carrying my backpack and how to defend myself. Thank you for loving me; spoiling me; always watching out for my best interests; making me laugh and driving to Dallas to visit me. I know I can always turn to you for support and help.

Some of the things I admire about Travis: he is brave, smart, funny, courageous and caring!

Jeremiah, who attended the University of Texas, who has always supported and encouraged me to go after the things of God. He showed me to give my best in whatever I do and has a very generous / giving heart. Thank you for being involved in my life; wanting to hear what the Lord is doing in my life; always taking time to hang out with Mikayla and I on your weekends; teaching me soccer moves and always caring for me. I appreciate your insights and the example of excellence you have set for me.

Some of the things I admire about Jeremiah: he is wise, encouraging, giving, caring and athletic!

Thomas, who is anointed to worship the Lord and enjoys life to the fullest, has always challenged me to try new things and step out of the box. Oh, and that got me into a lot trouble! Just kidding, of course. Thank you for taking the time (and having the patience) to teach me the piano. Who thought I would one day play a worship set on the hillside of Ephesus! Thank you for inviting me to go to the movies or just to go over to your house to hang out. I love your BBQ and coffee – but more importantly I love your heart of worship!

Some of the things I admire about Thomas: he is a gifted musician, has a heart for worship, caring, funny and full of wisdom!

Matthew, who is good at math and likes it (go figure), has demonstrated what it is like to be a servant leader and what it means to have a great work ethic. Thank you for helping me with math, even though you know I hate it! Also, thanks for being my chauffer; practicing soccer moves in the backyard; encouraging me and always making me laugh. I appreciate your desire to follow God and to go after His plan for your life.

Some of the things I admire about Matthew: he is smart, funny, athletic, humble and caring!

Mikayla, (aka the little princess) who is the youngest and remembers everything, has shown me what it means to be compassionate. Thank you for all the fun times we have spent together; for being a voice of reason as I make my decisions and supporting me in what the Lord is doing in my life. I love that we can be across the store and you can understand what I am saying. I really appreciate your caring heart for people and the way you love people. The compassion you have shows so much of the Lord to the people around you.

Some of the things I admire about Mikayla, she is caring, smart, talented, funny and artistic!

I could not image life without my brothers and sister – who got me in trouble, made me laugh, annoyed me and really makes life so much fun. They are the best siblings a person could ask for. They are a joy to be around and I miss them so much.
